In early 2025, Dawn Vally brought Zac Emmons on board as their new lead singer. Zac used to play guitar for the hardcore band Pound Of Flesh, but he decided to leave the group in February to focus on singing. He already knew the guys in Dawn Vally and jumped into a jam session with them, and they just clicked right away. His lyrics are super intense and personal, often exploring the darker sides of the human mind, which really resonates with the fans.

Band: Dawn Vally
Single Title: Graves
Release Date: October 4, 2025
Distribution: IndiePool
Length: 2:45
Genres: Metalcore
Location: Toronto, ON, Canada
Their upcoming EP, expected in early 2026, will be the first release with Zac as the vocalist. With songs like "Graves" and "Orange," the record is anticipated to feature 5–6 tracks of refined intensity. "Graves," the second single, is notable for its themes of betrayal and powerful musicality. Zac describes the writing process as exploring a dark mental space, resulting in what is seen as the heaviest Dawn Vally song yet. It retains the intensity of their previous album, Blueprints of the 416, while taking their sound to new extremes.
